Summer Slices

First day of summer
It’s finally here
Aced my exams
Passed on to next year.

Can’t wait to sleep in
Dive deep in my pool
Eat ice cream, grilled burgers
Wear shades – I’ll be cool!

Slap on the sunscreen
Bake in the sun
Read some good books
All I want – just for fun!

What? Summer’s over?
It happened so fast
Now back to school
Man, nothing good lasts.
