Don't worry....be happy

With little snow, lots of sunshine, temperatures that are breaking records I am very grateful. January for me is always a hard month to get through with the slump after Christmas and the dreaded look ahead of probably three to four more months of snow and cold weather. This winter has been such a gift to me. I got my appointment for my eye specialist and was off to see her last Monday. What a complicated adventure. Trips back and forth, pre-op check-up from my doctor, back to her, surgery on February 16, back to her (and she is not close), wait three weeks, back to her and then guess what? We get to do it all over again with the second eye. My second daughter's 20 month old has bad cough, been throwing up, has pink eye and an ear infection. She is home with a ten day old newborn and recovering from a c-section. Her bulldog, Penelope, goes in for surgery today to have a mass removed from her back end and her tale taken off. Wow! My youngest son has a math exam tomorrow and is having a horrible time with math. Promised to go in for lots of extra help from his math teacher but her dad died and she has been away for the last week so the kids could not get help from her. The list goes on. The upside: yes there is an upside....I am praying more, I am not taking this all on myself to solve, I am taking one day at a time, I am asking for peace and comfort not only for me but the rest of my family. I am so glad that God is in control and will not give us more than we can take. I am glad He loves me and will give me wisdom, strength and courage to carry on. His mercies are new every morning. I am glad all my kids know Him and His power of healing and love. I know nothing comes to me that He doesn't know about or can control. So it really is a good day. I am under his watchful, loving eyes and He cares for me. This is a day that He has made....so I will rejoice and be glad in it. Have a blessed day and be happy because God loves you too!
